Here is a recent estate find from a Historic New England Estate. This is a Rare Antique Working Gold Gilt Figural Statue Fancy French Victorian Figural Dome Clock, circa 1880. The Footed Victorian Clock is Made of Gold Gilt Cast Metal with White Porcelain Dial with Roman Numerals, Absolutely Stunning!!!!
It Sits on a Carved Footed Molded Ebonized Plinth with Victorian Oval Glass Dome! The Clock is Not Attached to the Dome Base, and Sits Freely on the Base. The Clock Itself Measures approx. 10" Tall x 10 1/4" Wide x 3 1/2 Deep. The Glass Dome Measures approx.
14" Tall, with a 13 1/8" Wide x 6 1/4 Deep Base. The Brass Mechanical Wind-Up Movement is a French Round Brass Clock Movement with Fixed Pendulette Style Pendulum. There is One Winding Arbor on the Dial, and It Includes a Winding Key.The Clock is in Very Good Cosmetic Condition, and Has Had Prior Restoration Work, Overall Very Nice!!! This is an Extremely Rare Clock Style and Design, Especially with the Dome!!!! Don't pass this one up, You won't find one like this again!!!!
