1966 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Sax- Rare Time Capsule Find- Mint! Condition is Used serial number 133xxx. Think of Stan Getz and the Girl from Ipanema sound. No high F# so she is solid at the top.Any two ways you look at it, this is a nice horn. Fat sound with plenty of fuzz with my personal Meyer #7 New York hard rubber mouthpiece.
Original Silver Plate and Gold washed bell. Completely cleaned, overhauled, and hand polished. Plays perfect now, however you may wish to have it set up to your specifications by your technician in your own town or country. (I really don't think it's necessary).
This horn is part of my personal collection and is also one of my best Tenors. Silver and Gold plating is in pristine condition with normal swirls but no spots or tarnish marks. You would be hard pressed to find another one like this in this beautiful condition. Key mechanism is tight and smooth not loose and slack.
It comes with a black draw string duffel bag to protect the silver even inside of its case. This horn is in excellent condition and is ready to play. This saxophone has never left my home or been played on stage since I have owned it. I have a beautiful collection of Mark VIs and this along with all of my saxophones are first class and in mint condition.
